Mister Waugh's Bio
Vancouver Island based Hip Hop artist Mister Waugh (Formerly Emcee Crypt) is a solid veteran on the microphone. For the past seven years he has rocked stages all across B.C. with his inspiring lyrics and passionate flows. Mister Waugh is one of Canada's and Hip Hop's most out-spoken and conscious artists, his material dealing with many topics ranging from poverty, racism, the environment, youth suicide, and politics. Though often known for more serious writing, he is also an artist who enjoys putting joke songs and fun tracks on each album.
Suffering horrific injuries as a child, Mister Waugh not only recovered, but made it his personal mission to spread the word of unity and understanding. His positive messages gained him several guest spots on otherwise restricted venues, such as being a returning act at Hip Hop For Peace Nanaimo. He has colaborated and shared stages with many well regarded hip hop emcees, such as Kia Kidiri, Conspirituality, Pocket Kings, Homage The Halfrican Cracker, Konfedential, Gemini Minds, Snap Fuel, Dj Chuck Norris (Of Character Traits) Sir Real, Subway, Guy Woods to name a few.
He has launched several full lengthed projects over the years, and is currently working on a new album due for release in 2009. This next project

August 25th, 2008: On a personal note, it is with a heavy heart that I morne the passing of Wilf Smith. Wilf was an amazing human being, with a funny sence of humour, and a love for music. Over the last year he came out to every show I performed at, and made each show fun. One night he had no money to buy a copy of my first album, so he offered to trade it for a fresh fish he had caught that day. Another time, he came right up to the stage and handed a flyer for the show while i was in mid chorus. (as shown below) RIP Wilf, you were an awsome person, and the shows wont be the same without you.
