yo what up degree, i been up island for a bit, whats goin on in vic for december? dope shows? i'll bet there is. let me know whats up if you need an opener or something. me and syd are gonna do a release party for The Word, we'll have clips of the show real quick between peoples sets, give-aways from the sponsors (we have complex onboard now, and camobear and beatstreet is willing to hook up merch) anyways maybe you can help us out? it would be in a quite a few months i think, if not thats cool i know your hella busy. also we need to do an interview with you for the show if your down. in my opinion your the number one guy we have to talk to, having been in this shit for so long and having such an involvement. word, get back at me and let me know what you think. peace,

About Me:
Hey, they call me Degree One... DJ, Promoter(Hip Hop Concerts, Clubnights, Events and Records) and Graphic Designer.

I started off as an MC for Victoria's first recognized Hip Hop Group Sound Advice, and then branched out into other areas of the hip hop scene and started my radio career on air at CFUV 101.9 FM hosting Spittin' Rhymes hip hop mixshow in 1992. I was on-Air at CFUV with various shows for nearly 10 years!! Shouts to partners Rennie 'Dub Nut' Foster, Tony 'Tee Dub' Wise, Tony 'D.Whiz' Day and Andre "DJ Arems' El Baba for holding it down with me on different shows throughout the years. I then hosted The Clock Radio Show; Victorias first hip hop radio show on Commercial Radio, Friday nights from 12mid. 2am on CFEX Extreme 107.3 FM from 01 - 02 with D.Whiz until the station unfortunately decided to flip it's format and get rid of it's specialty shows...

I ran street promotions for BMG Music Canada on Vancouver Island from 96 - 00 and continue to do street and club promotional work for BMG, Universal, Virgin-EMI and Sony.
I also introduced Vancouver Island to the Worlds foremost DJ contest, The Technics/DMC DJ Mixing Contest for the first time in 1998 which has since has become a highly anticipated yearly event.
